Acoustic glazing, is an effective protection against noise. Well-chosen glazing is effective in attenuating the sounds reaching buildings located in high noise areas. How they work can be seen in the attached video.
Metal balls are placed in the model. The left wall of the box, is 8mm float glass, and the right wall is made of 44.1 laminated glass with SR acoustic film. When the balls hit the float glass there is a lot of noise. On the other hand, when they face the 44.1 laminated glass, the noise is dampened. I hope you can hear it 🙂
